Hi Nassau Point Neighbors,
A reminder that our Annual Beach and Right-of-Way Cleanup is this Saturday at 9am, with coffee and donuts at 8:45, at the Causeway Beach!
The beaches are in good shape this year, so we'll be shifting our focus to cleaning and pruning the rights of way — helping make them more accessible and walkable encouraging everyone to use them more often!
We'll break into teams, so many hands will make light work. If there is a right-of-way that you use and would like to clean up, please indicate in your RSVP! Otherwise, you will be assigned a ROW as part of a group.
Please come prepared:
Light-colored clothingGarden or work gloves, along with your favorite pruners / battery-powered trimmers / weed wackers, etc.Tick repellent (strongly advised!)
The plan will be to put any garbage at the top of each Right of Way and we will collect it. Garbage bags will be provided.
Coffee and donuts will be provided!
Hope to see you all there — it's a great way to kick off the season and take pride in our little slice of paradise.
Please RSVP to Bill Callas at bill.callas@icloud.com
See you Saturday!
Spring Tour of CAST (Community Action Southold Town) + Pizza Meetup!
Join us Thursday, April 16 at 4:15 PM for a visit to CAST (53930 Main Rd, Southold – the big white church).
Community Action Southold Town (CAST) helps residents of Southold Town meet their basic needs in the areas of nutrition, employment, energy, housing and education. The services that are offered include emergency assistance, English as a second language classes, school supplies, food pantry, clothing, energy assistance, computer training classes and more!
We’ll take a short tour of the building and learn about the amazing programs there, including:
• The Food Pantry
• The Sharing Room (clothes, blankets, kitchen items & more)
• Children’s Programs
• The North Fork Culinary Program
It’s a great chance to see the impact CAST is making and learn how neighbors can help—whether by volunteering, donating items, or supporting their work.
After the tour:
We’ll head over to North Fork Taps & Corks (53345 Main Rd) to celebrate spring and surviving Tax Day! 🎉
🍕 Pizza provided by NPPOA
